The Story Behind Shift In Consciousness
TJ Sircher is the founder of Shift In Consciousness (SIC), a mindfulness and personal growth platform born from his own journey of transformation.
Raised in the back of a small motel on the south side of Chicago, TJ grew up in a chaotic environment surrounded by constant noise, conflict, and hardship. As one of eight children sharing a three-bedroom living space, he learned early how to adapt — often building a tough exterior to protect himself. By his twenties, that toughness had carried him into street and bar fights, until a life-changing moment in 2008 caused him to pause and deeply reconsider the path he was on.
Before creating SIC, TJ moved through many worlds — from child modeling and acting, to real estate investing, to property maintenance. After being diagnosed with ADHD and choosing not to rely on medication, he discovered mindfulness as a way to retrain his attention and heal his mind. Meditation became more than a practice; it became a way of life.
Through injuries, family struggles, divorce, and loss, mindfulness offered him clarity, stability, and the courage to rebuild.
In 2011, inspired by his own awakening, TJ launched Shift In Consciousness as a simple blog. What began as personal exploration gradually evolved into a mission: to help others find peace, clarity, and resilience through mindfulness.
Today, TJ creates workbooks, tools, and coaching experiences designed to support people through life’s challenges — offering practical ways to reduce stress, release limiting beliefs, and raise their vibrational state of being. Through every setback and every breakthrough, he has remained committed to his path. Shift In Consciousness isn’t just a brand he built — it’s the calling he lives.
